Happy Chinese New Year 2009
01.25.09 (2:13 am)   [edit]

Mooooo! Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Happy Chinese New Year to all of you who celebrate this joyous & special occasion wherever you are in this world! This year it's the year of the Ox! I relly wish I could tell you guys more about this year's celebration which is the Ox, but I'm afraid I can't. Oh, wait! I can....let me just google it for a sec. Hmmm...let's see. Folks, I can only find the Ox's characteristics. Read all about it here.

Here's a brief reading concerning the Ox's health which I found on the same site.

"Health matters don't seem to be too much of a concern for the Ox this year, as you are good at implementing some sort of physical activity into your routine. The Ox's discipline does well to carry over into your health. It never hurts to find ways to improve in this area, so don’t discount anything that will improve the quality of your life. Even though there may not be any large issues, stress can be a surmounting factor to be aware."

But still, if it's concerning your weight or figure, I still wouldn't recommend swallowing a diet pill. There are still better ways to keep your figure the healthy way. Don't you agree with me?

This must be more than just a Chinese New Year. A gentleman from the Korean congregation, which meets at our church facility, came to my office yesterday afternoon with a plate of food. He said they had been celebrating the New Year, and wanted to share some of the food with me. Now Year? I thought New Years was a month ago.

Chinese New Year and the ordinary New Year celebrations are two different occasions especially to the Chinese. They have their own Chinese calendar for this if I'm not mistaken.
