Abdominal Discomfort
10.27.08 (10:50 am)   [edit]

My first close encounter with the PAD rally.

Say we need travel insurance! Oh well, Hobbit wife was in great abdominal pain last Sunday morning at 3am and we feared that it might be something worst but thank God after a checkup she was only diagnosed with some intestinal infection. Nevertheless the pain resembles that of a serious gastritis pain or rather what we would worry most is apendicitis. I was sleepless and was trying to give comfort as much as possible. It was funny how the pain came and went and for once she was fine and next, was in discomfort. This made me imagined how my roommate/friend Bob suffered apendicitis rupture way back in college and immidiate surgery had to be done. No sign, no nothing. It just happened. Also thought of my own experience with gastric pain. I was literally holding a pack of rice on my hands when I finally could go back to sleep after so much abdominal pain.

The problem is..if an appendix ruptures, the pain goes away...and I don't know if they live beyond that or not! They need almost instant help at that point!!

She still suffers slight pain right now. We'll wait and see with the medication she's taking. Thanks for letting me know.
