What's on sale?
03.24.09 (10:10 am)   [edit]
I've just browsed the items at Buy.com and I think the items they have there are not bad. They always have somekind of promotional sales every now and then. I think it's a cool website that is worth checking out because at Buy.com I guess you could compare the prices of the products that you're interested in.

Talking about items or goods or products, it kind of remind me of the situation that Thailand is currently experiencing. Well, just in case that you're not updated, Thailand is now in a serious economy crisis! Well, tell me which country is not in the same boat as Thailand. It was estimated that at the end of 2009 or 2010 there will probably be around 2 million unemployed people. Yikes! That sounds pretty serious. No wonder most of the big malls here are hanging the "Sale" signs all over the place.

Songkran home break
03.22.09 (4:18 am)   [edit]
Another three more weeks to go guys then it's Songkran break again! Wow! Last year's Songkran break felt just like yesterday. Boy, how time really flies. Last Songkran we had this unplanned trip to Krabi and it was fantastic! We were quite amazed at ourselves because we didn't really planned for that trip but result was awesome! We had a great time and we also made friends with a fellow tourist there. This Songkran I doubt that it'll be the same. Why? Well, my missus  needs to sacrifice her time because of this distance study program that she has to undertake. Oh, what a bummer! I don't think we'll have the luxury of any Outer Banks vacation this time. Poor us.

Panda eyes effect
03.18.09 (11:09 pm)   [edit]
Lately, I've been sleeping quite late. As a result of that my eyes are starting to look like panda eyes! Ouch! What the heck? Can you imagine that? I don't know if you ever experienced this kind of phenomena before. When I look at myself in the mirror, I really felt like giggling. It's kind of funny to look at your puffy eyes. By the way, I'm not the only person experiencing the panda eyes effect. My wife too. Too bad for me because obviously I don't wear make ups, can't use them to cover up the blackish around my eyes. My wife don't have to worry about it because just a touch of her magical make up kit then 'tadda'! No more panda eyes. Anyway, because of this we kind of change our schedule a bit. No more sleeping way late at night. Hey, you guys know what? It helps a lot. I guess I don't have to think about that eye cream at the mall no more!

I'm totally speechless! I don't know what you guys think about this particular restaurant. At least the owner is honest about what he's selling is super life threatening!

Baseball here?
03.17.09 (11:38 pm)   [edit]
This term a colleague of mine willingly offered his help in forming a baseball club at our school. Now, you guys have to understand that here in Thailand, baseball is not that popular. Suprisingly, there were quite a number of students who sign out for that club. Hmmm...way to go John! I don't know if it is true, but I overheard some of the students talking yesterday that they are going to organize somekind of competition for this club? I don't know. Maybe I heard something different. Well anyway, I hope that they can prepare some trophies for those kids. I don't know if there are any baseball or softball trophies available here in Bangkok though. All the best to the organizers. Hope you guys can find one.

Plasma mount on my ceiling!
03.17.09 (11:10 pm)   [edit]
Why do we need to get a plasma mount? Well, of course we need it when we have purchased our very own flat screen TV! There are many types of plasma mount. The one that you could mount on the wall, pole, ceiling, swivel and etc. If I were to install one of these thingy, I think I'd choose to have it on my ceiling in the bedroom. Why? So, that I could watch TV while laying down on my comfy king size bed. I wouldn't strain my neck if my head is just on its natural original position. You guys get what I mean right? Because of the way the TV is mounted on the ceiling, I'd just direct my eyes up and 'walla' there's the TV! Brilliant?! Of course! Now, when will this ever come true? Cry

Fix my chair please?
03.05.09 (1:19 am)   [edit]
I hate the chair that I'm using at school at the moment. The recliner is badly damaged. Don't really know what happened to it. The last time I rememberd when I flipped it over, the thing that you're supposed to hold on and turn was totally wasted! So now I can't tighten that darn' screw to hold up the recliner. And you guys know what? This happened like a year ago or so? Yes, I'm still sitting on it! Poor me! Nobody cared enough to take a look at it and get it fixed. Hey, where's the maintenance uncle? I thought he was supposed to fix it?! Sometimes I even wondered why the school didn't conduct a regular furniture or school property checkup so that it could replace all the faulty items. I'm not asking that much. I'm not asking for home theater chairs even. I just want someone to fix my chair! Sooner or later I'm going to drag someone into my classroom just to fix my chair.

Online Certificate Programs
03.01.09 (11:46 pm)   [edit]
A friend of mine told me that one of the best place to search for a good place to continue his/her studies is through the internet. I have to agree with him on this because it's kind of true. I believe that nowadays it is easier and more convenient to just log on to the net and search for whatever it is we need info on. When I asked him whether he found anything that he is interested on, he told me about this site which offers Project Management certificate (which happen to be his fav) that is available at Saint Joseph's University Professional.

I'm glad that finally he found something that he's really interested in! All the best to him.
