My Christmas this year was nothing out of the ordinary. My wife and I spent christmas at my folk's home at KM and what can I say about it? Well, it's going to be quite memorable because for some reasons. Firstly, my dad got a terrible stomach ache and we had to drive him to the hospital(village hospital). Secondly, we experienced a brief blackout on Christmas night. Thirdly, well probably the last one; we stayed home and couldn't go anywhere because non of our friends were reachable and free. *sigh* What a Christmas to remember.
However, even in the midst of all the imperfections, I could say that we really had numerous quality times just sitting together and chat away about life for the past two years since we've been apart. *sigh* Glad to be home even though it's only for a while. Next time if we're home again, we're going to go out and hunt for comfortable bed frames and mattresses to make the sleeping experience less painful. Happy New Year everyone!
Have you guys ever experienced a continuous streaks of bad lucks? I can't really recall mine or I'd rather not recall any of them. I just don't want to go over them again and at the same time start cursing :P about it. Yesterday, I got the chance to hang out with my wife's family members and happened to mingle around with my bro in-law's best buddy. I really pitied him when I heard about his story. He recently just recovered his stolen Prado 4wd vehicle and managed to get it back home safely yesterday evening with the help of my bro in-law. The unfortunate thing is when he went out to deliver something to his friend's home, a bunch of straying buffaloes who happened to be passing by the road wrecked the front bumper of his Prado. Poor him! It's a good thing nothing worse than that happened to him though. Luckily he was not on a motorcycle or something. I don't think even motorcycle accident attorneys would want to deal with that kind of a problem.
Yesterday marked my 32nd year of life here on earth! Yes, and still people around me wouldn't believe it if I told them that I'm already in my thirties. Their usual reaction were to stare at me strangely and say, "You look like you're just in your twenties." Yes, this happens all the time. Well, I don't want to complain about it. But, that's just it. I still look like a kid! Oh, whatever then. Who wants to look like an old timer anyway! By the way, I'm now at home in Sabah, Malaysia for another two weeks for the holidays! Yes! It's good to be home after being away for two freaking years! All I could say is this is the best birthday and christmas present I've had. Well, I guess that's about it for me now. I don't think there are any exit signs out of aging for all. Just enjoy your life while it last right everyone?!
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year 2009 to all my frequent readers and to anyone who happened to stumble upon my blog!
Yes! Holiday is just two days away for us! Two long years everyone! Two long years! That's how long we've been waiting to go home. It's kind of weird to think that this will be our first trip home as husband and wife. Hmmm...all these while we've been all over Thailand as a married couple but not back home. Ah...anyway, I guess it'll just be the same. It's a matter of just getting use to that place. Again, I still can't believe it at last we're going home for the holidays. Something tells me that it's going to be one heck of a trip. It's not that we're going on Disney vacations or something? It's just an ordinary trip home, but what makes it special is that it'll be one of our first Christmas gathering with the rest of the family as married couple (again). Oh yes! I'm excited.
Whenever I'm bored, waiting, relaxing or simply killing time, I never missed a chance to NGANGE myself in playing Asphalt 3. I know the newest sequel to Asphalt 3 which is Asphalt 4 is out! But, probably I'll get that later. I'm really into this racing stuff but not in real life though. Yeah! I know, if you can't really do it in reality, at least you can do it through gaming. I guess that is the trend nowadays. People tend to full fill their wildest fantasies through gaming. That explains what I'm doing! Right? Anyway, in gaming you don't have any problems in searching and replacing the Ferrari parts.
I was rummaging through the drawer of our new place and guess what I saw? A few boxes of disposable contact lenses that belongs to me. Hah! I forgot all about them. It's really a waste though because I only used them on a few occassions. I wanted to use them, but whenever I used them my eyes would always itch. And I don't enjoy having them on when I blinked more than I should. I guess I'd better stick to the old fashioned eyeglasses. They are more comfy and less irritating.
Finally, we bought ourselves each a pair of new house slippers. I know this might sound weird, but hey the old slippers that we're replacing were with us since the late 2003 and it moved with us to different locations for a total of five times! Can you believe that? We used our house slippers to the fullest. Yes! Literally to the fullest. Mine was thin and the bottom part was totally owned by the floors. Just take a look at the picture and you'll understand what I mean.
Yes! The bottom parts were all torn and scraped off!
I feel sad for my old house slippers, but it was time for them to retire for good! Both of us were feeling kind of bad because our old slippers were heading for the trash. Not really a nice place to spend their retirement years right? Anyway, thanks slippers for going through all those up's and down's with us. By the way, there were some other stuff that we have to get rid off. Like the old busted PC, monitor, tape drives and a bunch of other old things. We hope that our new house slippers will serve us up to their ripe old age just like the previous one.
I would like to share this very special message to all of you whom might have this feeling that you're stuck in an unlikely position/job where you're not contributing as much as you want to because of the strings that are tightly tide all over you. I found out that this message really settled my doubts in what I'm doing now.
"A life of serving God is the way to lasting greatness in God’s eyes. Greatness is not found in a position. Nor is it found in power. Greatness only comes from serving. God will bestow greatness on you when you choose to serve. When you’re serving difficult people, keep in mind that you’re ultimately serving Jesus by being faithful in the situation. If the people you serve don’t express appreciation, remember that God notices the good work you’re doing and will eventually reward you for it. Be confident that any service God calls you to – no matter how mundane – is highly significant because it helps fulfill eternal purposes. Serving God will help you stay faithful to Him, as well. So humble yourself before God and choose to serve however He leads you."

Take a look at these beautifully designed tv furniture at this site importadvantage.com I know..I know. They all look very expensive and luxurious. Well, anyway it's not a crime to drool on them. Right? We all have our own rights to dream and salivate on expensive items. I say if we can't have them, we can still dream of having them. Hehe...in our dreams only! I know. Seems like I'm talking crap all the way. That's the problem with mid-night blogging. All righty then. Over and out!
Funny thing happened a while ago. I was chatting with a friend of mine and I don't know how it happened but we sort of chatted our way to a topic which I was not really familiar with. My friend was talking things about testosterone, progesterone and so on! I was like...dude! I don't even know what you're talking about here! And both of us agreed that we shouldn't continue on with that topic especially if we don't know nothing about it. It's funny sometimes in order for us to impress someone whom we don't quite know, we tend to get into conversations where we pretended to know about that particular subject. Lol! I guess most of us will 100% BS our way to the top. We really are funny creatures! Next time, I'll just admit that I know zilch about some topics.
Hmmm...maybe the thought of going home is still going to be a reality after all! Keep your fingers crossed everyone! I'm so glad that the situation concerning the airport siege here in Thailand has finally ended. It's all in the news if you need to know the details of how it was resolved. Now that all of that is in the past, we can finally concentrate on the future events. You know what I'm talking about. HOME is where the heart IS!
I noticed when ladies come together the first if not the topic of the day will be that of their bodies. What every ladies sought for...slim, slender, ss, sss and ssss (only in Thailand?)! Well, no matter how many S'es they seem to already have, they are still not satisfied of how they look. There is always the use of an important word "BETTER". Many times I don't see why or lets be honest, men don't see any huge difference in a one day slimming regime just to get rid of the food that you ate yesterday. Hoping it would be gone if you skip eating the next day? One day's feast can really make you that fat??? If so, this already skinny me, skips a meal, starves for a day...will so make me an even sknnier man who so don't need leptovox! :)
