Waiting for Insurance Sticker
10.01.08 (3:13 pm)   [edit]
I am still waiting for my car insurance sticker! I just switch my insurance with our previous company since we didn't want to continue with Kurnia. I guess each company has their own pros and cons.

Last week as I was browsing on the net, I noticed a website called online auto insurance. Here, you can browse through several companies that offers auto insurance and decide which one affordable to you! Well, I tried to browse through some companies and as I mentioned earlier, each has their own pros and cons and if I were to choose one, I would say I would be standing on a crossline! However, I like the idea that some comapanies are trying their best to help consumers by keeping the premium low! Today I am going to once again call my dealer for the insurance sticker! You'll never know Bangkok! :)

How to download movies & series using Firefox 3!
10.01.08 (2:15 pm)   [edit]

Are you into Asian movies or dramas? If you are, then this will be the ultimate guide for you in downloading free Asian movies and dramas straight from the internet free! There are a couple of sites out there that caters to the needs of Asian movies and dramas fanatics! Two of the most popular sites that I personally visit are Crunchyroll.com and Youtube.com. I have discovered from my hours of surfing the net that there are thousands of internet users who love to watch streaming Asian movies and dramas from these two sites and I am one of them.

The main problem with watching online streaming movies and dramas is the slow connection plus the buffering. Fortunately, for those of you who subscribes to broadband and those other types of fast connections you guys would disagree with me. Pity to the rest of us right? Well, that is not going to be the case anymore. Want to know why? Read on .

Work & Studies
09.24.08 (3:45 pm)   [edit]

When I touched my forehead this morning, I felt a small bump growing and inhabiting happily above my browse! Ouch! A zit aka. acne!

I have been suffering from too much stress lately because of all my papers that I needed to finish. Assignments after assignments all falling into its respectives due dates which I in turn have to keep up with the falling speed! Not only my courses are causing this one tiny zit but I pretty much guess it's a culmination of all the work stress as well! It's a good thing if your boss notices and acknowledge your work in school but it's also a sign of more work to come! At least in my situation, I've been dump a whole load of work which I am quite happy to do without me studying but with both commitments on hands, I just feel like crashing as soon as I reach home. Good thing Hobbit wifey is taking me to a retreat next week! At least...at least...Or...Bring my work??

Crib Bedding Blond Joke
09.24.08 (2:51 pm)   [edit]

While looking through a furniture magazine, two blond housewives suddenly started a conversation about crib bedding.

HW1: I envy babies nowadays, they get all they want. Look at this crib bedding, isn't it too cute?

HW2: Yeah. We just spent thousands last year just to equip our daughters room with all the cute stuff we thought she deserves.

HW1: How why? I am not willing to spend a big amount of money just to renovate my son's room unless I have the money..

HW2: But I have the money...(annoyed at HW1)

HW1: How come you haven't cleared the amount that you owe me?

HW2: What amount?

HW1: The amount that you borrowed until you had to beg me again and again.

HW2: Oh that!

HW1: That amount of money was the exact price for my dream crib bedding that we are going to put into our baby gir'l's new renovated room!

HW2: But you said you have the money?

HW1: Because I borrowed it from you, that's why I have it!

Online job listings
09.19.08 (1:10 am)   [edit]
Nowadays, everything is simplified for us. What I mean by this is with the assistance of modern technology, it isn't necessary for us to go through all the hustle and bustle to complete or do things. Take for example job searching. Back in the days where the local newspapers were still in control of the media arena, job hunters were always flipping through the newspaper pages and circling potential job openings that they are interested in. Job hunters are still doing that at this moment by the way, however their focus are not totally on the newspapers only but also the internet. There are thousands of sites out there in the wild world web that provide job listings to hungry job hunters all around the globe. One such site is dallasjobsite.com which provides Dallas jobs openings and beyond for everyone!

Non-stop Rain #2
09.11.08 (9:57 am)   [edit]

*Not another diet pill ad! Sick of it!

Hey, speaking of rain, it happened that I found a cool "sound" poem that coincidentally depicts how I am feeling right now.

Drip Drop Drip drop, drip drop, darned rain won't stop. Dropping on my windowpane, it is driving me insane.

--Bruce Lansky

Another good one is

Rain

When it rains
The soft grey sky
Drifts to the ground
Brown rivulets
Trickle away
Trickle away
Washing sadness down
Weather vanes
Weep and turn
Weep and turn
Forgetting in the damp and grey
That by and by
The sun will shine
Sun will shine
By and by
The sun will shine.

Non-stop Rain
09.11.08 (9:41 am)   [edit]

The rain season has arrived. Be it in the morning, noon time or night, the rain pours down non-stop. This means worst traffic for the next two months or so but hopefully not two months of tardiness for me! I appreciate the showers but don't enjoy wading through the water at all. Yes, if you're in Thailand, be prepared for mini floods. Just yesterday, I saw a neighbor's patio furniture covers were totally drenched despite the household trying to keep things dry by covering all the stuff there. Leave alone the road leading to our apartment. half day of rain is enough to transform that road into a river. I wonder how the neighborhood especially those who have been living there for the past 10 years deal with it or do they deal with it at all? As for me, the only solution to not get trapped at one end is to go home early. You will never know when this "river" will turn into a roaring sea! So peeps with rain above your heads, enjoy the rain while it last. It sure is a blessing!

Thai Culture Course
09.08.08 (4:04 pm)   [edit]

Last week I spent almost a week taking a course required by the MOE towards all foreign teachears teaching here in Thailand: Thai Language and Culture course. As much as I enjoyed the discussions and lectures, I also enjoyed our trip to the ancient city Ayutthaya and eating lunch on a mini cruise along the Chao Phraya on our way back to Bangkok. Overall, the trip was educational and of course fun and I guess all of us who went enjoyed ourselves. I bet if we were to go on our own to the places we visited, it will be way too costly! One thing I noticed though was the public toilets. Many of the tourism populated area have clean toilets unlike some other countries. Well, Thailand do have problems with this too sometimes but what is good is the toilets here are very well taken care of. Ahh, why did I mentioned about toilet?? Okay, here are some pictures...

Illustrations according to the Thai myth we learned about.

My t-shirt's sticker to the cruise.

I bet those of you who've been to Ayutthaya have been to this place.:)

On the Run
09.08.08 (3:22 pm)   [edit]
Our new school year has just begun and for the past week I have been very busy running several errands all at once: school stuff, Thai culture course, completing assignments for my classes, household errands, my wife's errands..heh! Anyway I have been waiting for a little time to sit and just blog and here I am, still occupied but yet insist on stopping by to blog. Oh yeah, those of you who called worried sick about us here, I can only tell you that the current situation is though unpreddictable but we are nevertheless safe since the mob is not anywhere close to our place. Except for the surrounding government house and maybe somewhere along the democratic monument, anywhere else is still labeled as safe. Everyone is still going to work as usual, the begger still begs, bar girls still fighting for Leptovox and drivers are still selfish on the road.
