K1 fighters!
03.31.08 (10:45 am)   [edit]
Lately, I'm kind of addicted to watching K1 kickboxing matches from youtube. I think I prefer watching K1 kickboxing rather than the regular boxing or Muay Thai matches in tv. Two of my favorite K1 fighters are both Japanese. Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto and Genki Sudo. Both of them are really good fighters and I really love watching their fights. Both fighters ever fought against each other in one of the K1 championship a few years back and Kid Yamamoto defeated Genki Sudo with a KO in that match. Sad, but anyway I love both of them.

Here it is just as I've promised! I know I should have posted about this earlier. I'm just plain lazy I guess. These are some of my captured moments with the Anglo Brigades on our first outing. Please don't look for me in the pictures because you won't find me in any of them. Why? Obviously, I was the one taking them.
Advertisment time!
Are you looking for a high quality faucet and fancy one too. Look no further because Price Pfister is the one!

No going to the park!
03.22.08 (5:50 pm)   [edit]
We were supposed to go to the King's Park this evening to go for an hour of brisk walking. But, we decided to just stay at home and enjoy the air condition in our room. Yes, it's getting hot here in BKK and we can already feel the heat of the summer. Something tells me that we'll be paying extra for our electricity bill. If you guys are stucked at home and would like to do a little bit of stretching, you should consider this particular yoga dvd. Happy stretching!

What's going on?
03.21.08 (9:08 pm)   [edit]
Hello everyone! I know I know... I haven't been posting lately because I was soo darn busy with my term 2 exam preparation! I did try to blog a few times but I couldn't think of anything to write about because I was feeling under the weather(sore throat & runny nose). Right now my voice sounds different, a bit bassy:P. I guess I have to take more vitamins and exercise a little bit. If only I own one of those home gym equipment!  I really can't recall the last time I spent my time exercising. Maybe...a couple of months back?

Well...anyway, luckily this evening I've got the chance to shadow box a few short minutes. Shadow box? Why shadow box? Well...I've been reading three MMA books lately and I think those books gave me some kind of motivation to pick up where I stopped before.

These are the 3 books!

Hobbit wife had the chance to enjoy her ride while I had to take the motorbike taxi to get to where she is yesterday. Guess where was she after school yesterday? She went shopping (White Chick's expression)! What can I say, soon I would turn to mortgage lenders if she is addicted...heheh! Well, I was kidding. There is a huge summer sale going on in Central World and by the time I caught up with her, she had shopping bags on both hands! Of course I didn't want to be left out...NOT...but a replacement for my worn out running shoe is not a bad idea. As soon as she nodded, I jumped to the offer and dealt with it!

I left early this morning and here I am at our camping site. I will surely update again on this trip as soon as I get back. Nice weekend everyone!

1001 things to be completed
03.13.08 (9:46 pm)   [edit]
The term is almost done and students have less than two more weeks left to their second term exam. There are still lots of things to be done. I have exam papers to make, reports to submit, lesson plans to finish up(including next term's plans) and the brigades camping this weekend! Plus...my M.Ed. papers! Aaaargh! I'm dead meat! This is the life of a *cliffhanger!* If you guys are wondering what I meant by this? Well...I'll explain it in my next post. Maybe.

I haven't packed for the camp yet! I don't really know what to bring! Maybe I'll just dump in all the stuff later I guess. Someone told me that it's going to be quite warm over there. I need to make sure that I don't forget to bring my Wiley X look alike sunglasses with me or else I'll suffer!

I'm poisoned!!!
03.10.08 (8:28 am)   [edit]
Food poisoning again! Aaah! I really feel like crap right now. Thank goodness that I'm feeling a bit better today compared to yesterday. It's a good thing that I took a day off too. My head is still spinning around and I don't think I have the energy to deal with my mischievous students. I think that's about it for today...can't think of anything to write about. Check out this link everyone: land for sale BransonTongue out

Go where?
03.08.08 (10:35 am)   [edit]
Heloo world! Looks like it's another great day to go restaurant hopping with my faithful buddies! Hmmm...where shall we go next? (Turns his head to the right) uh..well..what do you know?...it's Mrs. Hobbit checking out the internet for any good place to waste our money! Hehehe... Okay...well, I guess I'll just leave it up to her to do the searching. I 'll just drive. I think she's got one...let me get the pen and write down the location. Darn...where's the pen? I thought I had those free promotional pens lying around the computer table a while ago? Later then.

Carboom!
03.07.08 (7:51 pm)   [edit]
Yikes! Nowadays if I noticed that my gas(real gas not LPG) is running low, I tend to ignore it for awhile. I will just leave it till it is almost empty. It's been a month or so since I last filled it with gas. Is that bad or good? I dunno. This evening, finally I decided to fill in 300Baht worth of gas in it. You know what? It doesn't make any difference! The fuel indicator only move an inch from being empty. Darn it! The gas is freaking expensive! 32Baht something per liter! Heeya!

I also just discovered last week that my Malaysian drivers license was expired! According to one of my friends, I really need to get it renewed ASAP! What else? I should watch out for my car insurance expiration date too! Last year, I got into loads of *you know what* because the expiration date was written in a language that I didn't understand!

I had a dream last night that my Classic Honda EXI 1994 transformed into *TADA* Chevrolet Epica! Dream On Roy!!!

Where to go ah?
03.05.08 (7:49 pm)   [edit]
Time flies by kind of fast! Just a few months back it was still new year but now, it's already March! Three more school weeks and the kids will again sit for their examinations. Me and the other teachers are already talking about the next holiday. Yup! One and a half week songkran break! Yipee! Can't wait for that. Me and Mrs. Hobbit are still thinking of a place to go for that break. So far, we've been thinking about going to KL or Penang by train. Anyway, it's early to confirm anything yet. I wish someone out there would kindly sponsor us free tickets to the States and make Las Vegas hotel reservations for just the two of us! *sigh* Dream on dude!

Oh ya! Before I forget...I'm kind of bloated right now because of eating too much fried noodles a.k.a Hokkien style! Looks like we couldn't get enough of it! So that's why we decided to prepare another Hokkien style fried noodles this evening! Yummy!

Eating greedily!

Methane Gas Detection
03.02.08 (1:38 pm)   [edit]
Once in a while there will come a time where your mind can't really function because of fatigue. I'm not shy to say this but I think I'm in that situation right now. So don't blame me if my post today has no relation to what is happening around me.

What do I know about Methane gas? Well...I know that it is flammable and dangerous! I'm always afraid if my LPG gas leaks. Yikes! I don't want to be in that situation too. It really freaks me out a few months back when my car experienced it. How did I know that it leaked? Well, I smelled something funny that smells like gas and I immediately sniffed around(literally did it) to find out where it came from. You guys know where it was from? Yes, you guessed it. It came from the engine section. Thank goodness I acted right away and got it fixed for free!

Anyway, my whole point is how do you safely detect a methane gas leak? Don't tell me you're going to use your Blood Hound nose too? By the time you successfully detect where the leakage is you'd probably be up in flames. Now you can detect gas leakage safely and easily by using methane gas detection device from afar. This "baby" as shown in the picture will do the job for you! Thanks to modern technology methane gas detection can be solved without getting yourself burnt.

This one works better than your nose!
