Home sweet home!
11.27.07 (9:45 pm)   [edit]
Lately, we've been talking about owning our own dream home back in Sabah. I noticed that there are many items that we would love to include in our own dream home. Items like furniture, decorations, wallpaper, paint colors, vases, flowers, carpet, wall sconce lightings and some more that I can't recall. Yikes! I never knew that people will go that far to make their home really "nice" to live in. Man...I tell you guys, when my wife and I talk about these items for the home, we can never stop talking about it. It'll drag on and on until we get bored of it or maybe when something came up and we'll have to go somewhere. I really hope that it won't be that difficult when we finally have our own home.

Need more space!
11.25.07 (5:03 pm)   [edit]
I noticed that my home is becoming a little bit cluttered nowadays. There are lots of things piling here and there. I tried to hide some of them by stuffing them in the cupboard but nah...it'll only land me in trouble. I wished I had a flat screen tv to replace the bulky one I have right now. Now I know why they made flat panel televisions in the first place. To Save Up Space! I've got to get myself one in the future.

Mineral Makeup
11.24.07 (9:22 pm)   [edit]
Ever heard of the name Jane Iredale? Never? I bet those of you who are regular makeup users might be familiar with her products. For your information, she is one of the producers of 'healthy' makeup products. Why do I call it 'healthy'? Well, her products are considered healthy according to the information that I read about her products (as explained below).
  • Four in one - Our micronized mineral bases are four products in one: foundation, powder, concealer and sunscreen, and will disguise almost any skin discoloration.

  • SPF 17 Pressed Bases & SPF 20 Loose Bases - Formulated with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, the minerals give instant, broad-spectrum, chemical-free sun protection. They are also Very Water Resistant.

  • Fast, weightless coverage - Because we use no fillers like talc to dilute the effectiveness of the pigment, one quick application of our minerals provides all-day coverage that doesn't fade, crease or smear.

  • Non-comedogenic and oil-free - The skin is allowed to breathe and function normally.

  • Minimum allergy risk - We use no sensitizers like perfume or chemical dyes and preservatives in our bases, blush or eye shadows.

  • Coverage - Because the minerals are concentrated pigment, they give complete coverage and can be used effectively to camouflage large or small distractions.

  • Adhere - The minerals adhere to the skin until they are removed with any cleanser.

  • Anti-inflammatory - Our mineral bases have anti-inflammatory properties and are especially helpful for acne and rosacea-prone skins.

  • Inert - The loose minerals are inert and cannot support bacteria.

  • Quality - We use state of the art cosmeceutical ingredients to ensure the finest performance in coverage, application and texture. Our vitamins and antioxidants are pharmaceutical grade.

  • No animal testing

Convinced already? You guys be the judge to this.

Aching neck!
11.22.07 (8:51 pm)   [edit]
We were watching our favorite show "Dr. Heo Jun" a few hours ago on Arirang and it is the 109th episodes already!  Wow! I can't believe it. That drama still has a long way to go. Poor Dr. Heo. He's so humble and innocent. How can he let the other power crazed doctors take advantage and humiliate him. I hate those selfish and arrogant doctors. Anyway, there's no fun in watching a boring story line. All the watching made my neck stiff! The tv screen is way to low for us to comfortably watch. I've got to get a tv mount one of these days!

Life Insurance: Good or Bad
11.22.07 (6:54 pm)   [edit]
Are you insured? Wait, let me rephrase that. Do you have a life insurance? I don't. It's not that I'm not interested in getting one but, I just didn't think of getting one. However, there's a big possibility that'll be getting one in the near future. You know, it's not for your own sake but for your loved ones like your wife or other members of the family. Oh wait! I don't have a life insurance but I have one (BUPA) given by the school where I'm working. It's a medical insurance if I'm not mistaken. It's good to get a life insurance especially children insurance. My wife is insured, I mean her dad purchased one for her since she was in elementary school. Good for her! Bad for me

Do I need a GPS?
11.21.07 (9:08 pm)   [edit]

Are you good in remembering things, faces, formulas, places or anything at all? To answer this question I would probably say yes and no. I’m a quite forgetful person actually. I can really sense that I’ve forgotten something but I don’t know what it was. Funny, don’t you think so? I can clearly remember the time when we first got the car, I was too afraid to get lost in Bangkok. Every time I missed a U-turn or a junction or a street, my co-driver would instantly holler at me and asked me why I forgot to turn where I was supposed to turn. The truth is I’m really bad at remembering places and roads. Back then I even thought of getting a GPS to make things easier for me. Darn!

Anyway, I think I’m ok now. I can say that I know some of the roads, streets and places in Bangkok like the back of my hand. So, I think I’ll pass on the GPS for now. At any rate, I still have my wife a.k.a. co-driver to help me with the directions. She’s my walking and talking GPS by the way.

Online Banking - Life is getting easier with it!
11.21.07 (9:57 am)   [edit]
The existence of online banking services is making life nowadays more convenient. You don't have to waste time traveling to the nearest bank to get your business done. All you need to do is just turn on your PC, log on to the internet, key in the appropriate online banking URL and finish up whatever it is that you intended to do. That's it! You don't have to sweat and go through those processes where you have to communicate with the bank teller and deal with his or her annoying behavior. Online banking is stopping all that from now on. Checking account is not a problem for you anymore!

Never take your showering time for granted!
11.19.07 (9:47 pm)   [edit]
I have a very interesting question to ask you readers out there. How many of you spend more than 20 minutes taking shower or bath? Anyone? I guess it all depends right? If you're too dirty than it'll take you quite a long time to wash yourself up. If that's the case. Or maybe you're doing something else in there. Whatever it is ... it's your business anyway.
Probably you might be wondering, what the heck is this guy asking anyway?! Well...nothing actually. It just dawn into me that sometimes people enjoy taking a long bath or shower after a long day at work. Like myself, I love the feeling of the zillion drippings of water cools my body off after a long wild struggle with the rowdy kids at school. Aaahh...so refreshing indeed! Do you think it's strange? I don't think so. Some people enjoy dipping themselves in their hot tubs for hours because it relaxes them taking their stress away from them temporarily. Well, whatever it is peeps, learn to appreciate your long baths or showers just because ...

Need to throw some of them...
11.17.07 (8:47 pm)   [edit]
Have you ever experienced having to look for something in your closets or drawers for something that you really need to use at that time? The other day I was searching for the HDMI cable to upload some of the pictures that were taken previously at school, however I had problems finding the right one! Why? There were too many HDMI cables at home! We had several digital cameras in the past (which is still in our possession now) and it gave me a hard time getting the right one. I have to take all of "them" cables and try all of them one at a time. I think I need to throw some of them soon. Don't want to have a hard time getting the right one again.

Used is the new New
11.15.07 (10:35 am)   [edit]
I’m not going to lie, it’s great to have a brand new car that nobody has ever driven before. However, that being said, I also know that brand new cars that nobody has ever driven before also tend to cost more money. So here’s what I suggest, when it’s time to replace the car you’re driving with something a little bit more up to date, why not check out the Missouri used cars dealer that understands that just because a vehicle is pre-owned doesn’t mean that it’s old. Conklin Fangman has the best selection of Kansas City, Missouri cars of anybody, and they want to work with you to make sure you get the perfect pre-owned vehicle for your needs. So take my advice, go check them out, and upgrade your car to something that’s new…but not too new.

Online shopping made easy
11.12.07 (9:15 pm)   [edit]
The previous day we were out in the mall hunting for a particular type of long sleeves. Man, I've almost forgotten how hard it is to roam here and there and everywhere in search for this illusive item. After searching long and hard for hours, we finally gave up. Can't find it. Already too tired to walk, we decided to call it a quit. Poor babyCry she didn't get what she wanted. Better luck next time. Well, actually there was this point where she almost bought this item. But, after carefully thinking. The price was not worth it.
Looking back at that experience really made me think. Wouldn't it be easy if we can shop for clothes online? Well, there's ebay. Then again there's always port authority clothing. Life can be that easy right? Adios!

Plasma Cutter
11.12.07 (10:50 am)   [edit]
Do you know what is a plasma cutting? Well, if you don't, let me quote what Wikipedia told me: "It is a process that is used to cut steel and other metals (or sometimes other materials) using a plasma torch." Why did I come across this word? Well, I was reading about something and stumbled upon this word. I thought plasma has other meanings and not just something to do with metals which is why it led me to Wiki. Well, one website on the net promotes a high quality plasma cutter and you can read more about it at Kaliburn.net. Take a look at their products. Lots of factories are actually using this kind of plasma cutting already and I wonder if I could just take a look at the whole process??

Unresolved Frustration
11.06.07 (10:47 am)   [edit]
My pc suffered from recurrent heart attack lately and I have been trying to fix it ever since. Last night I wanted to re-format it altogether again and when trying to do so, there were several glitches here and there and thus it makes it hard to completely fix it in one night. I need more time and more time is what I don't often get. Nevertheless while trying to dig out some installation Cds and diskettes (yeah...believe it or not...that's how ancient my (wife's) pc is), I managed to sort out some tangled fiber optic cables that are not being used. At least while waiting for the installation I could tidy up the Cd cabinet and gain praise from my hobbit wife! Haha! Well, I really need to keep going. Before that, here's the pic. of our old pc's head...

Going Winter Camping
11.06.07 (10:23 am)   [edit]
We plan on going camping when it gets cold! However, before we get our gears, canvas tent, sleeping bags, utensils, and other necessity ready, we need to choose a good place to go. Yes, we had plans but have not quite decided on the place yet. We were hoping to join the Pathfinder camporee next month and had been planning since the beginning of the year but too bad school is still on for us. I don't know why such event is scheduled when most of us here couldn't attend what more join the event! Nevertheless, we were thinking of going somewhere up north, see if my in-laws are coming over or not. Meanwhile, what do you think of this canvas tent? Like it or not?
